What is the ethic? Why is it important to have one in place? Those are things that I will be discussing in this post today. On week two of my university during a computer and researching lesson, my tutor raised the question of why is important to have an ethic guide in place and what is the difference of ethics and the actual law.
To start, we have to explain what ethic is in the subject that we will be talking about. Ethic is the borderline of what is correct or wrong, good or bad, what is our responsibilities as a respectful living being. Computer ethics are rules that make society better, but they are not to be confused with the law as they have necessary legal infringements.
Computer ethics got ten rules, and they can be divided into three categories:
- No harm
this ethical rule group is all about no harming someone else phical or their image , meaning no bullying, creating fake information about others or using a computer to harm.
- No breaking the privacy from someone else.
you shalt no invade or share someone privacy.
- No stealing
that cover any type of stealing from privet informantion to delectual content such as programing codes or orther information from someone else creation.
In conclusion, computer ethics is the basics of common sense where is mention the minimum of respect that we should have to each other. the computer ethic should not be taken only towards computer but to your whole life as it will make you a better person in general.
