CCNA, what did i take from it

 As I mentioned before, I had a small contact with the CCNA course, but unfortunately, I did not finish the course. During my time studying CCNA, I had exposure to Packet Tracer. This tool helps you execute the transpire created in a safe virtual environment, and in this post, we will be focusing on that brilliant and miss understood tool.

This fantastic tool has been developed by Cisco to help their students practise what they learn without but a lot to risk. Packet tracer is a software that has virtual network devices that mimic 1:1 the real ones making the experience more realist as possible. The software allows the user to experiment with a wide variety of command, making the learning more attractive to the user and safe. the amount of experience that can come out of this software is unbelievable as you can simulate common issues that beginners do in their network, simulate attacks and track how the information travel through the network. My own experience

dealing with this fantastic software is no doubt, fun and efficient, but this tool can be scary to some beginners, and that was my case.

 

When I first land my hand in this tool, everything seemed so fun and exciting. Still, as I started to see that the connection that I wanted to make was not working, I began to get frustrated and hotheaded. I could not understand what I was doing wrong and that is the biggest fault of this tool, it will not tell u direct what you have done wrong you have to have some common knowledge of the network to able to use otherwise you will be lost as I did.

With time I started to get the hang of it, and the experience changed dramatically to make a lot more enjoyable and exciting. My problem-solving skill went from zero to a good six/seven making me more and more interested in the subject. This software is with no doubt the best tool for someone that already knows the basics as it will make them work harder and understand your actions as long as you keep practising, which was not my case. When making this post, I decided to source my own pictures so I would not have to worry about copy and rights, so I opened Pack Tracer after two years without use or even read about the subject, and once again I felt lost in the software.

Overall

Pack tracer is an exceptional tool really focus on people that are really in the field of networking and is ready to develop themselves and be better in what they do. The user-friendliness is questionable as you will have to have to minimum knowledge on networking to work in the software.
